Emotion (Original Poem)

Droplets of rain mix with tears from my eyes,

Mascara runs to the darkest of skies,

Why is it so wrong to be feeling this way,

To be broken yet whole, to feel mad and yet sane?

I wanted the sunshine but you gave me the storm,

I asked for the roses yet you gave me the thorns.

And my dream’s slowly fading, turning to dust,

I know not what I should do, can do or must.

Priorities change like weather and mood,

What is really important just can’t be a feud.

So what can I do when I don’t want a fight,

When I’m simply standing for what I think is right?

Droplets of care mixed with pinpricks of guilt,

Lilies are blooming that soon may wilt.

I don’t want to say goodbye, yet I want a hello,

I’m grabbing my future, just yearning to know.

200+ Followers?! Thank you!

I know I’m a bit later than I said I would be, but this has literally been the most hectic week of my life. I have legitimately not had a spare minute to catch my breath before moving onto the next thing. This past week has brought:

  • My grandma moving in with us
  • My Birthday
  • Saturday rehearsals for Hairspray!
  • Monday and Tuesday Afterschool Rehearsals for Hairspray!
  • My Birthday Meal

Trying to cope with all of this at once has been a struggle, to say the least! Thank you for all of the birthday messages from you guys, it’s been lovely to read all of your kind messages and connect with more of you ❤ If any of you have any advice about how to cope with my busy teenage life, please let me know! I could do with it! 😀

Anyway, thank you so much to every single one of my followers. You are the reason why I feel so accepted by this amazing community, and I have met so many wonderful people through blogging. ❤

See you all on Friday,

The Birthday Tag

Hey, guys!

As I said before, I’m going to be publishing blog posts on a Friday now! As luck would have it, I have two things to celebrate today, the first being the fact that it is my 16th Birthday today! 🎉😄 I’ve been looking forward to this day for a little while, just to call myself 16. It sounds kind of ridiculous, but I like the maturity that this age is going to give me! 😌

Because it’s my birthday, but I also have to celebrate reaching 200 followers, (couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present, by the way!) I’m actually releasing TWO blog posts today!  🎉🎉

I thought it would be a lot of fun to do a birthday tag so that you can learn a little bit about me and my birthday! 🎉 This tag was created by a Dutch blogger called Kwante in Wonderland, and the original post is in Dutch, but I got the English version from a blogger called The Belgian Reviewer! Thank you for the inspiration, I did add a few of my own little ideas to it too, which I will indicate as my own 🙂

First off, I love my date of birth, which is 20/01/2001. It is just perfect as it is a repetition of the same four digits. I also love how my name is a palindrome (the same forward and backwards) but that’s another story! 🙂

Mock Exam Results: What I Learnt

Hey, guys! I’ve not been blogging for ages – this is my first post of 2017! 😦 I feel awful about it, but I’ve been ill recently, had a lot of tests and coursework and rehearsals since I got back to school. Heck, I haven’t even had time to complete one book so far this year 😦 I’m about 4 chapters into The Unexpected Everything! I’ve decided that my usual day for posting will be on a Friday, and if I want to blog any other time in the week I may do that too! I’m just drawing up a final timetable and hopefully, the blog will come together nicely with the little bit of time I’m going to put aside every other day or so to focus on my posts.

Anyway, to the topic of this post…

Many of you will know that I took my Year 11 Mock Exams in December – it was a tough week and a half but I felt confident that I had done well in at least some subjects.

Tweeting about my day ahead

Well, I got my mock exam results today! I was so so nervous (especially since they chose today, FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH for my results) but also excited as I have been waiting a while for the results. It was nerve wracking queueing for the paper with my grades on it – I could feel myself bubbling over with a feeling of anticipation – was I about to get my dream grades, or was I going to be left disappointed?
